After close to 1 year of chemotherapy and 2 operations, someone i knew finally survived the monstrous clutch of “Cancer”. Praise God! Her hospital diagnosis showed that she was on her fourth stage cancer and chemotherapy would be a continuous treatment as there is only a 50-50 chance of survival should she go for an operation. Despite surviving, she would only have 2 – 5 years to live or so as the doctor told her at first.
Cancer Survivor Journey
Her family members and friends were devastated, upon knowing her condition. A mother of 3, her children have yet to reach adulthood and still very much dependent on her. Still, she braved through the chemotherapy and 2 operations, her body responded well and now she is on her way to full recovery. Whether she lives for another 10 to 20 years, she told us it is by god’s grace.
By God’s Grace
During that painful times, she kept her faith strong in god, praying often when she could, read the bible, listened to gospel and with the love and support of her family members and friends, she made it through. Also told us that she had a few dreams, 2 of which she shared with us. The holy spirit told her to trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Another when she was in the hospital, her husband told her she was in a state of shock and screaming for awhile. She told us it was during that moment she must have crossed over to the spiritual world.
Heavenly light
She saw dazzling white light, clouds all around and the sounding of the trumpets by the angels in white. She continued saying that she felt light, happy, carefree and at peace with herself. She was in heaven! A shining image of a face-vague person was talking to her but she told him that she was not ready as her children needs her by their side.
In heaven
Afterwards, she was shown another terrifying place that was all red, burning with fire, “people” crying for help, in pain and suffering which was hell. So intense that she would never want to be there.
The next thing she knew she was back in the hospital with her husband by her side. Her husband was worried as to what just happened to her and she shared with her husband what she saw during that moment when she was “gone” for awhile. She told us she has to share the testimony of god to people she knew which she believed is her calling. God has given her a second chance to live and she will glorify god and do good. It was very heartwarming to hear what she has said being a Christian myself, having read the bible and believed in god’s existence. Sometimes it is a pity that people on earth do not know god and how much our heavenly father loved us. I came to embrace god’s existence 1 year ago so it is never too late while one is still alive.
God is truly worthy of all our blessings and praises.
